Materials

wood — board & roller. the body you stand on.

brass — sleeve in each hole. steel runs on it, not on wood, so the hole never widens.

steel — the pegs. hard stop that takes the roller's hit.
How it works

drop two pegs into a pair of holes. they hang 4cm below the deck.

rock on the roller. it rolls until it bangs a peg, then stops — can't climb over ⌀12.

move the pegs to the other pair. close = short rock, easy. wide = long rock, hard.
